Indian Medical Association, Karkala Branch is Happy to announce that they are hosting 88th State Level Conference of IMA Karnataka State Branch.
We are proud that the Conference will be held under the Dynamic leadership of Dr. SURESH KUDVA, our State President, who is from our branch only. He will be our Organizing Chairman as well. Other IMA Branches of Coastal Karnataka viz IMA Mangalore and IMA Udupi Districts have happily agreed to associate with us in Organizing the Conference. Medicon-2022. The 28th, 29th, and 30th of October 2022 will be the days of the conference. The Venue will be the ' Alva's Nudisiri', Vidyagiri, Moodabidre.
We are Pleased to say that Dr. MOHAN ALVA Chairman of Alvas Education foundation, has happily agreed to permit us to utilize the Premises of Alva's Campus at Moodabidre for our Conference.
Historically this place was ruled by Jain Kings and place is known as Jainkashi'. We can see many Basadis and Temples carved out of granite. Monolithic statue of Gomateshwara, 43 ft in height, at Karkala and 'Thousand Pillars Basadi' at Moodabidre are Masterpieces in stones. In addition, we can see many more Jain Monuments, many lakes and Architectural Museums. Basilica at Attur, Sri Venkataramana Temple, Ananthpadmanabh Temple, Kotichennayya park are other places to be visited.
Beyond the Campus.......
There are plenty of places of interest nearby Karkala-Moodabidre: Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple, Kateel, Sri Manjunatheshwar Temple,Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala,,Sri Krishna Mutt at Udupi, Sri Mookambika Temple at Kollur,Kukke Subramanya Temple, Saint Aloysius Chappel at Mangalore, Sait Mary's Island , Sultan Batthery off Mangalore and Many more religious institutions. Many scenic beaches like Kapu Beach, Tanniru Bavi Beach, Malpe Beach dot the coastal line.
And in Education Sector our place is very much in the forefront.
Proud to say that we have 10 Medical Colleges in the 50 Kms radius in the twin districts of Udupi and Mangalore. So, we have rich pool of in- house Speakers who have participated in innumerable National and International conferences as Speakers and Faculty. In addition, speakers from other parts of State and also from other states are being invited.we are in Planning to have a couple of international speakers on board.
So, we promise you a Rich Academic feast in a scenic beauty of Alvas Campus with Cultural Extravaganza and Culinary Delicacies drawn from diverse Kitchens of Bunts, Jains, Brahmins, Konkans and above all Rich and Delicious SEA FOOD.
